- Buqubuq, Malik
- One of the Turkish slave nobles of Balban's reign (1266-1286). As commandant (muqti') of Badaun, Malik Buqubuq commanded 4,000 horsemen. Some time after Balban's rise to kingship (1266), Buqubuq's son Qara Beg came to be stationed there as an ordinary assignment holder (iqtadar). By then, Malik Buqubuq had ceased to be the commandant of the place. On receiving a report that Malik Buqubuq had killed a personal attendant, Balban had him executed.
